Hikaru

About Hikaru

Hikaru is 2020s anime set in the countryside. Hot summer light pours over detailed rural backdrops: rice fields, cicadas, old houses and empty roads. Slender teens are drawn with care, and under the bright, sleepy calm runs a quiet unease, as if something about the summer isn't quite right. It suits two friends sharing a cold drink, walks home along the river, secrets kept too long and evenings when the air feels heavy.
